We provide boarding for both dogs and cats, specialising in tailored services for individual requirements. Based just outside the picturesque village of Queniborough, Leicestershire, we are ideally located not only to serve Queniborough but all Leicestershire areas.

Established for well over thirty years, we are a family run company, with a wealth of knowledge in the boarding kennels industry, experienced in animal care and grooming, dog training, working dogs and much more.

High Barn Farm Kennels & Cattery is set in beautiful surroundings near to the village of Queniborough, which, we consider a great asset in ensuring our canine & feline guests feel comfortable whilst away from home. As well as being a safe and secure environment, we are fully licensed with the Local Authority. This is all in place to provide a personal caring service to give you the confidence that your pet will be loved and cared for.

We are a small, very friendly and personal business which is supported by long serving, fully trained and qualified staff.

We are open all year round, and offer our guests short or long stay at very reasonable rates.

We stock a wide variety of food types and are able to manage special diets and prescription food when supplied, thereby offering individual tailored services.

We encourage owners to bring in favourite toys or bedding. We feel these home comforts assist in the early settling in period. However we are able to provide everything your pet needs during their stay.

We also will administer medication where required. In the unlikely event of your pet needing medical attention during their stay, we ensure earliest veterinary care with either owners preferred practice or with our own registered vets.

High Barn Farm Kennels & Cattery also provide a collection and delivery service upon request, so if you haven’t transport of your own, we can help.

Charges are applied including the day of delivery but not for the day of collection if prior to midday. We accept payment by cash or cheque only and outstanding amounts should be cleared on day of collection at the latest. We apologise but are not able to accept Credit Cards. Cancellation fees are applicable.

Information on the High Barn Kennels:

Our enclosed exercise paddock is set in ¾ of an acre in which the dogs can run free, as well as 10 acres of fields for walking; this will ensure your loved animal gets all the exercise he or she requires to remain fit and healthy.

Our long serving kennel staffs support the husband and wife management team in looking after the business. Jennet will always be available to listen to your concerns and answer questions, managing the kennels on a day to day basis. Richard is a qualified dog trainer and highly experienced with working German Shepherd Dogs and Search Dogs.

Richard & Jennet live on site with their three daughters Alexis, Farron and Phoebe and whilst we are not a working farm, we do have our own collection of horses, ponies, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs as well as our own cats and dogs.
